I had a regular queen sized bed frame on my 15 year old son's bed - the common ones that are sold at most bed stores and also here on Amazon.
So I don't know what it is with 15 year old boys, but he likes to flop. Flop onto bed, flop when he's in bed, whatever. After a year with the other frame, he had messed up both the center support bar and finally bent the wheels on the top support so the bed was at about a 45 degree angle. I would go in to pray with him at night and was afraid to sit on his bed for fear that with the weight of both of us we'd end up on the ground.
I finally broke down and bought this frame for him and WOW, what a huge difference. It was amazingly easy to put together - no tools required at all. It is HEAVY duty. Though specific to our house, I... Read more

I normally would not do reviews on random things like this but this bed frame is AWESOME. I have been battling two other bed frames for years before I this one. My other bed frames were SO HARD to put together, and would NOT stay put together so I would have to prop it up with a cinderblock!! They were both also really noisy, and one is now bent and not usable.
THIS BED FRAME on the other hand has been such a pleasant surprise. THIS is how bed frames should be. I mean really... who wants to even worry about their bed frame of all things and have to take their bed apart just to prop the frame up... or to spray it with WD40 so it will stop squeaking!!!! Those worries are mine NO MORE:)
SUPER EASY TO PUT TOGETHER.
REALLY, REALLY STURDY AND STRONG.
